CALL FROM ÇEDBİK: LET'S STOP TURKEY'S ENERGY LOSS TOGETHER 6 MONTHS ENERGY BILL EQUIVALENT TO 12 YEARS INVESTMENT
Turkey, which continues to be dependent on foreign sources at the rate of 70% for its energy needs, paid 48 billion dollars foreign currency in the first half of the year to supply energy. The use of air conditioners due to the extreme heat to be experienced in July-August will cause the energy bill to rise even more. Environmentally Friendly Buildings Association ÇEDBİK stated that the foreign exchange output of approximately 50 billion dollars is a serious loss of energy for Turkey; He called for stopping this loss through energy-efficient policies, investments in renewable energy instead of fossil fuels, and the promotion of green buildings that reduce energy consumption.
Mehmet Sami Kılıç, Chairman of the Board of ÇEDBİK, said, “If we examine what the numbers we pay correspond to, it can be understood how serious the issue is and we can explain why we, as ÇEDBİK, make persistent calls for energy efficiency, energy saving, green transformation and green buildings.” made his comment.
